The course on Web Information Systems is a typical academic course on Information System Management on the Web, targeted both to undergraduate and graduate students.
The main objective of the course is to cover all the different facets of the development process of Web Information Systems from three perspectives: architectures, development methods and tools, and implementation technologies.
The course is organized in two major parts, for a total of 21 lessons (2 hours each):
  1. Technologies and architectures for Web information systems (lesson 1 to 15)
  2. Conceptual modeling of Web applications (lesson 16 to 21)
The course can be completed with a number of lessons to be held in the laboratory, so that the students can develop an hand-on experience about the concepts and technologies introduced in the lessons.
