| Marco Tagliasacchi graduated with full marks (cum laude) from Politecnico di Milano in 2002. At present he is working on a Ph.D. in Information Technology sponsored by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology - Politecnico di Milano. He is currently focusing on the following research areas: conceptual design of data-intensive Web applications, and use of XSL transformations to assist automatic code generation. More recently he started working on topics related to video coding, specifically scalable representations and extensions of the wavelet transform, i.e. ridgelets, curvelets, as well as techniques aimed at performing motion segmentation.
